Key Rules Before Applying

Have a genuine educational programme lined up: school/university, language course, Muay Thai training or an internship

Confirm the Thai school, university, institute, or organisation can provide visa-support documents

Passport valid at least 6 months from travel date

Have proof of your current location or residence in the country where you are applying

Prepare financial evidence in the format and amount requested by the embassy or e-Visa system

Passport biodata page

Recent passport-style photo, taken within the last 6 months

Official document confirming current location

Bank statement or financial evidence covering tuition and living expenses, as requested by the embassy

School / Course / Training Documents

Letter of acceptance or supporting letter from the Thai school, university, or training provider

Letter confirming enrolment, course, internship, training, or programme details, including your name and study dates

Letter from the relevant authority, Ministry, sports or educational organisation

Other documents that may be requested - Course schedule, receipt, proof of payment, training plan, School registration, licence

After Approval and Arrival

Print and save the e-Visa approval before travel

Check your entry stamp after arrival and note the permitted-stay date

Contact your school or institute early about extension documents if you need to stay beyond the first 90 days

Apply for a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand if you need to keep your current ED stay valid

Complete 90-day reporting if your stay in Thailand reaches the reporting requirement

Keep attendance, enrolment, and payment records in case immigration asks for proof of study

Notes
